Position Summary:
This is a hands-on, customer facing role involving the design, deployment and support of complex Blue Coat engineering projects. The right individual will have deep understanding of at least one of the three Blue Coat product pillars: Visibility (Packet Shaping), Acceleration (WAN Optimization) and Security (Proxy).
This is a near-100% travel role.

Requirements:
- BA/BS in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred
- The following certifications are desirable: BCCPA, BCCPP, BCWAA, BCWAP, BCPSA, BCPSP
- 5 plus years of IT consulting experience in various technical disciplines including but not limited to security, WAN acceleration, content delivery, firewalls, load balancing, switching and routing.
- Deep technical understanding of Blue Coat Application Delivery Network technology pillars including Visibility, Acceleration, and Security solutions.
- Products include ProxySG, ProxyAV, and PacketShaper appliances; SGOS, Director, Reporter, IntelligenceCenter, WebFilter, and PolicyCenter software solutions
- Must be expert in a minimum of one of the aforementioned Blue Coat technology pillars
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, cookies, authentication, web filtering, virus scanning, web servers, SSL/encryption and reporting packages
- Understand transparent deployments using redirection mechanisms such as WCCP, Policy Based Routing, and hardware load balancing
- Ability to decode and understand traffic flow at packet level traces (skilled with TCPDUMP, PCAPs, traffic generators, etc)
- Understanding of chatty protocols (MAPI, CIFS) Juniper, Check Point, Cisco and F5 proficiency are a plus
